The plastic disk under a bottle cap may seem unnecessary, but it actually helps see the carbonation through. Although we don’t really know the exact science, the disk prevents soda from losing its fizz by trapping carbon dioxide. Who likes flat soda? Nobody.

Rear view mirror tab
When you drive, you probably look in your rear-view mirror regularly. In case you haven’t noticed, the mirror has a tab at the bottom. Apparently, the tab allows you to change the position of your mirror so you’re not blinded by the headlights from behind. Although it deflects the light, you can still see what’s going on behind your vehicle!
