Coin ridges
Have you noticed that quarters and dimes have ridges that are not found on pennies or nickels? Try checking the coins you have. The design is a holdover from the days when coins were minted in different weights to reflect their value. To stop the shaving and melting of coin edges to make new coins, they used precious metals to add the ridges.

Grocery cart loops
Not many shoppers realize that the loops on the grocery cart can frame the fold-out section to protect the items you put in the cart. To prevent vulnerable items from being crushed, you can hang them from the loop. We think this is definitely an excellent example of good design!
