Banana
If you’ve been peeling your bananas from the stem end your whole life, then you’ve been living your life wrong. You’d think that after thousands of years of evolution, we would have learned how to properly peel a banana from our ape ancestors. But apparently not. Instead of taking the stem end and twisting it around to get to the fruit (and you end up having to throw away the top part because it gets too mushy while you’re trying to open it), you just squeeze the “bottom” end and a whole banana opens up without you getting bruises!
Spaghetti spoon
Like many of us, you’ve probably used the spaghetti spoon (you know, the one with the hole in the middle) to drain your pasta and put it on your plate. But did you know that the hole in the middle isn’t just for draining your pasta? It also has another function: it helps you measure the amount of spaghetti you need to cook. Simply push the uncooked spaghetti through the hole until nothing fits in, then you have the right amount for one person. You’ll never cook too much pasta for you and your other half again!
