Coach Jimmy Teague of Reidsville High is on his second stint with the team. He won 4 state titles during his first run and has already won one more this time. He had a 55-game streak from 2007 to 2009 and produced 2 NFL players: Na Brown and Jerome Simpson. The 19 state titles of Reidsville is the state record in North Carolina.
Missouri — Webb City High School
Webb City High head coach John Roderique has held the position for the past 23 years. He won 10 of the 14 state titles owned by the school. He was a linebacker for the team in the early ‘80s and went on to play football at Pittsburgh State for University of Minnesota head coach Jerry Kill, who himself took the high school to a state title in 1989. In 2011 and 2012, Roderqiue’s son John was the quarterback of the 2011 and 2012 teams, which took home the state titles in those years.
