Bellevue High brought an end to the 151-game win streak of De La Salle High in 2004. Head coach Butch Goncharoff won 11 state titles in 16 seasons but had to step down in 2017. That was the year Bellevue got stripped of its 2012 and 2013 state titles and received a 4-year postseason ban for violating transfer and recruitment rules.
