Iowa — Harlan High School
Harlan High head coach Curt Bladt took home 11 of the school’s 12 state championships. He had been an assistant coach at Harlon for a decade before he finally became its head coach in 1978. He is one of the winningest coaches the nation has ever seen. NFL player Billy Cundiff was the quarterback during the 1997 state championship team. He is the only Harlan graduate to make the NFL roster.
Rhode Island — Bishop Hendricken High School
Bishop Hendricken has somehow churned out NFL talents decade after decade. This includes Steve Furness of Pittsburgh and Will Blackmon of the Giants. Talented coach Ron Mosca worked as an assistant coach at the school for 12 years until he got promoted in 1990. He led the team to 3 state titles. In 2019, the school went 10-0 and took home its first state championship since 2014.
