Large buildings collapsing is a huge problem in China. It seems like almost weekly a big building plunders to the ground and results in many deaths and injuries. Construction is done extremely quickly in China, and some like to point fingers at the rural workers for doing a poor job. Others suggest architects design structures as “semi-permanent” from the start, and are often wrong about how long they will last.

‘Dancing Grannies’
Square or plaza dancing is seen everywhere and is super popular amongst middle-aged and retired Chinese women. It is really done for exercise and usually performed at night. According to CCTV, over 100 million people participate! So now if you see some older ladies dancing in public at night, you know why!
