Despite all this, it seems that some kind of work happened in the house. Aerial photos from Bing showed dumpsters and utility trucks parked in the vicinity of the house at some point in time. But as we all know, any kind of plans they had never come about. Some people thought that local authorities may be involved and stopping the mansion from being torn down.

Abandoned Explorers suggested that this might be why the mansion has been abandoned for so long. The writer wondered, “Was this why it had been basically left open to squatters for years in hopes it would be accidentally burned down or be destroyed by vandals beyond repair?” For whatever reason, the mansion was again abandoned and continues to crumble despite its history as home to some of Hollywood’s biggest names.
