The video then transitions into another room inside that showed just how much the mansion has deteriorated inside. It’s incredibly distinct just how much damage it took over the years of neglect. This room had a sink lying on the floor. The carpet that could have been brown originally was now covered in fungus. Some books were scattered on the floor as well. One of the walls had a long streak of green mold across. The hotel room looks like something you would see in a horror film.

Decrepit rooms with decaying carpet compared to fancy names create a stark disparity. The doors were labeled with plaques with engraved names such as “Mayfair”, “Chelsea”, and “Belgravia” which are upscale districts in London. One suite was even called “Ascot”. It’s a well-known horse race venue that’s also quite near Wallingford. Only people from a certain background would patronize these suites and those locations.
