Miles Away
The current condition of the room is poles apart from a review in 1988. The Daily Telegraph wrote, “Our bed, complete with bedside clock, is supremely comfortable, with fine sheets and decent blankets.” Now, the room is filled with damp air and mold creeping up the walls. It highly unlikely that anyone would call it comfortable for sleep.
Accommodation
Clearly, the room was part of the previous hotel’s roster of accommodations. There was a disconnected phone, chairs, and a side table that were left behind. The lampshade was also tilted at a weird angle added to the sense of disarray.
