The royal controversy was discussed at Sandringham Estate in Norfolk not long after the announcement. The meeting went on for two hours and attended by Queen Elizabeth, Prince Charles, the Duke of Sussex, and the Duke of Cambridge. People expected Meghan to be present remotely because she was in Canada at the time. The meeting was held in the Long Library room at the estate. When it was over, Prince William and Prince Harry were driven away from the property in different cars.

Recently, there have been rumors circulating about a rift between the brothers. On January 13, they decided to set things straight. A story in The Times inferred that they had a falling out because William was not friendly toward Meghan. Their joint statement said, “Despite clear denials, a false story ran in a UK newspaper today speculating about the relationship between the Duke of Sussex and The Duke of Cambridge.” It went on, “For brothers who care so deeply about the issues surrounding mental health, the use of inflammatory language in this way is offensive and potentially harmful.”
