The Robertson Patriarch
Phil Robertson is the one who founded the family duck calling business. The patriarch of the family had been a skilled quarterback during his days as a Louisiana Tech student. In fact, he was even offered a roster spot on the NFL. Unfortunately, he decided to turn it down because he wanted to focus on the duck hunting season instead. He began the company in 1973.

Friends With Terry Bradshaw
Phil was a great athlete. In fact, he was good enough to have been picked before Terry Bradshaw during the 1970 NFL Draft. When he was playing for the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs, he was the first-string quarterback! When asked about this, he said, “Terry went for the bucks, and I chased after the ducks.”
