Hawaii – 23.8% Obesity Rate
Hawaii was also deemed one of the lowest states in terms of obesity percentage within the country, but it didn’t mean any public health issue. It was reported that 23.5% of Hawaiian residents did not engage in any physical activity and that 37% of the adults are less than one fruit per day. The Hawaiian residents opted for unhealthier food options, which put them at risk for being obese.

California – 25.1% Obesity Rate
California was one of the states with low obesity rates and was ranked fourth with low statistics. One out of four adults in California were deemed to be obese. The obesity rate between 18 to 25 years old was 12.7% and 24% for 26 to 44. Thirty-one percent were obese for those aged 45 to 64 and 24.4% for those more aged than 65.
