Despite the public backlash, many continued to support Nadya and her children, but eventually, it became too much for them. When People interviewed her, she expressed her feelings about the caricatures that had been made about her. “I don’t get much sleep, about two or three hours a night. But I’m continuing to move forward with my life and trying to be the best mother I can be,” she explained, even though her attitude toward the attention she was receiving had many people skeptical of Nadya.

Even years after giving birth to her children, Nadya Suleman was still a subject of much speculation. Even though many Americans adored her and her numerous children, her detractors did not back down and continued to voice their doubts. To the displeasure of multiple witnesses, she was in a precarious situation and at a low point in her life. Nadya was facing an additional challenge in raising her 14 children and was left with no other option but to accept help from the government.
