The Master Plan
John was really excited to explore what he found in his yard, but he knew that he wanted to do it safely. He had no idea what was waiting in the space below, so he and his friends came up with a plan on how to deal with the whole thing. They made a blueprint and thought of how to proceed.

On their list, the first thing they needed to do was to fix and reinforce the concrete structure that was surrounding the stairs going down. The rust that had accumulated on the stairs made them unsafe. Even though John was getting more and more tempted to just climb in and see what was inside, he knew he needed to be smart about this.
