MASH (1979)

Despite the fact that this 1970 film was intended to be a black comedy about the horrors and hardships of war, it turned out to be one of the best war films ever made. Although the undercurrent of this culturally significant project denounced the Vietnam War more than anything, it followed a medical team stationed in Korea. It was understandable that there would be some mistakes, but it was mostly realistic in terms of the unit’s daily shenanigans and rituals to keep from going insane. This just goes to prove that a film doesn’t have to be dramatic to be historically accurate.
