Locals complain that visitors touring the Valley of Temples lack respect and since the amount of pagodas had reduced to half, locals are even more dissatisfied. They even claim that visitors who climb to the top are just contributing to their fall.

Vietnam has an infamous world heritage site called Halong Bay. It is one of the cities with the most visitors every year. With more visitors, there has been an increased need for inexperienced tour guides and boat workers running the boats sailing along the bay. Their focus is more money based, rather than the tourist’s experience.
