Weathervanes
Does anyone else think of the David Bowie song “When the Wind Blows” when they hear this word? Anyway. For the uninformed, weathervanes are those metal devices that rest on top of barns and homes to show you which direction the wind was blowing. It does not mean that they are less valuable just because they are not all that useful in this day and age. Even though we just use our phones now to learn more about the weather, 19th-century weathervanes now go for $5,000 to $7,000 at eBay. What’s more, is that a Native American one got sold for $5.84 million at a Sotheby auction in 2006.
Polly Pocket Toys
In the 1990s, it did not get much bigger than Polly Pocket in the world of toys. The high-end toys became an integral element in many children’s playrooms, and this is part of the reason you can put them up online for a significant amount of money. In the past, people marveled over the small pieces. On eBay, Polly Pocket toys are now considered valuable collector’s items like the rest of the things on our list. As of August 2019, the bigger packages are valued at $1,900. However, it is not only Polly Pocket figures that get the big bucks. Anything related to the franchise can fetch you some money. A Polly Pocket pencil case was sold off for $810 on eBay back on July 16, 2019.
