Ramses II
Ramses II AKA Ramesses the Great ruled as the 3rd pharaoh of the 19th Dynasty. He was born in 1303 BC and was in power from 1279 to 1213 BC. He fathered around 50 sons and a similar number of daughters. He died when he was 90 years old. Many people think that he is the greatest New Kingdom pharaoh!

What Ramses II Really Looked Like
After his death, he was buried in the Valley of the Kings. However, they later moved him to a royal cache and then to the tomb of Queen Ahmose Inhapy. Just 72 hours later, they moved it once again, this time to the tomb of Pinedjem II. The coffin came with hieroglyphics, which helped confirm it was his.
