This man adds to the suggestion and evidence of modern humans and neanderthals coexisting 40,000 years ago and that a possible overlap may have occurred. His remains found in Europe and tools made by Homo sapiens formulate as further evidence of this.

Kennewick Man
Found on a bank of the Columbia River in Kennewick, Washington this man was one of the most complete skeletons ever found. This skeleton has been studied for decades and in 2015 it was revealed that he has the most similar genetic DNA to Native Americans. This led to much controversy and the remains were in turn returned for reburial as the Umatilla people and other tribes demanded. He became part of a 9-year court case between scientists and tribal people.
