Benjamin Netanyahu

Benjamin Netanyahu became Israel’s prime minister in 1996, the year in which his official portrait was taken below. He was in that role until 1999. It was re-elected in 2009 and again in 2015. It is not known whether Netanyahu will remain Prime Minister after recent scandals last year. But as of July 20, he’ll be Israel’s longest-serving prime minister. He was seen here in October 2018 looking much older than in his 1996 portrait.

Mitch McConnell

U.S. Senator Mitch McConnell from Kentucky has been a member of the Senate since 1985. He became the Senate Majority Leader in 2015, having previously served as Minority Leader and Majority Whip. He was pictured below in 1987. After almost 35 years in the Senate, the now-77-year-old McConnell certainly looks different from the new senator. He was pictured below in January 2019.
