Bit of A Butterfly Obsession

Now here’s a special fact, Parton is obsessed with butterflies! Heck, it was her love for butterflies that inspired her 1974 album, ‘Love Is Like A Butterfly’. Moreover she featured the winged beauties on her album covers too. Did we mention this is about her husband? She does sing, “Love is like a butterfly, as soft and gentle as a sigh. The multicolored moods of love are like it’s satin wings. Love makes your heart feel strange inside. It flutters like soft wings in flight.”

First, I’m A Songwriter

We’ve hinted on it before, but Parton always considers herself a songwriter first. So just how many songs has she written to date? Oh yah, just over 3,000! Yeah, let that settle in. Her most popular songs include “I Will Always Love You”, “Jolene”, “Coat of Many Colors”, and “9 to 5”. Plus she’s just one of few artists to have been nominated for Academy Awards, Grammy Awards, Tony Awards, and Emmy Awards. Slay girl, slay.
