According to PopDust magazine, Be Bop Bamboozled delivered the “weirdest Super Bowl halftime show ever.” Clearly, they were not the people who felt that way. The entire show was meant to be tongue-in-cheek with the “world’s largest card trick”, 30D glasses, a magician, and an Elvis impersonator called Elvis Presto. According to the producer, 300 million Chinese people watched the show alone. Perhaps it was not the worst Super Bowl halftime performance ever. However, we are sure some people would beg to differ…

The halftime performance in 1990 can be split into two tributes. One was for the 40th anniversary of Peanuts, while the other was for New Orleans. It was in New Orleans, which meant the music was still enjoyable. It ended with a Snoopy on a Mississippi River steamboat dancing to “When the Saints Go Marching In” before segueing into “Happy Birthday, Charlie Brown”. It was incoherent, which may be a bit of an understatement.
