Vermont — Hartford High School
Mike Stone, the former coach, made a dynasty from one of the tinier schools in the Vermont Division I. This includes consecutive season wins in 2011 and 2012! He won a state title during his first season back in 1986 and then led the team to straight victories from 1990 to 1993. Hartford, with its 12 state championships, is the home of 5 Gatorade Player of the Year awardees as well.
Wyoming — Sheridan High School
It seems like Sheridan High likes to take state titles in hoards! The football program boasts of 26 state titles, 16 of which came in streaks of 2, 3 or 4 consecutive championships. They won 5 of those in the 2010s. It is also the alma mater of the 5’6”, 148-pound tailback/defensive back Willis Smith, who played 9 games for the New York Giants back in 1934.
