Disinfect Sponges
If your dish sponge is starting to smell, you should clean it immediately. Like any other liquid, your sponge will absorb hydrogen peroxide, which will clean every bacteria in every tiny little part of the sponge. After letting the sponge sit in hydrogen peroxide for a few minutes, flip it to soak the other side and let it sit for another few minutes before rinsing it.
Disinfect Children’s Toys Safely
Hydrogen peroxide is a perfect solution to clean your kids’ toys, as it won’t leave any residue after you’re done. Before cleaning them, make sure to wipe them down with a towel and remove any batteries or electronic pieces they may have. You can either soak the toys in a mixture of half 3% hydrogen peroxide and half water, or you can dab a towel in the mixture and wipe down the toys with your towel. Be aware that if you choose to not dilute the hydrogen peroxide, it can stip the toys of their paint.
