July 2019 – Archie’s Baptism
Archie’s christening was yet another opportunity for Harry and Meghan to stray from traditions. The couple made it a private event as usual but decided to hide the identity of their son’s godparents. The palace released a statement that said, “The godparents, in keeping with their wishes, will remain private.” The British public did not approve of this. The Duke and Duchess received a lot of online criticism after feeling shortchanged by this lack of information. People were quick to accuse them of giving the public little in return when they are being financed by the taxpayers of the United Kingdom.

Early August 2019 – Hypocrisy Accusations
When he was speaking to Jane Goodall, a primatologist, Harry said that he and Meghan only wanted to have a “maximum” of two kids to limit their environmental impact. He said, “What we need to remind everybody is: these are things that are happening now. We are already living in it. We are the frog in the water and it’s already been brought to the boil. Which is terrifying.” It was rather poorly-timed, and the press called them out for their hypocrisy since they flew on private jets for holiday vacations.
