Neon Light
Clifton’s Cafeteria is an old Los Angeles establishment located in a historic building. After deciding to renovate the bathroom, he saw a neon light that was still on! Experts believe that it had been on for 77 straight years, which is a world record. The owner thinks that it was first turned on in 1935 when the building got converted into a diner. However, the owner soon realized that he paid about $17,000 in electricity thanks to this. Neon lights are known to work for 40 years at most, so this baffled experts!
Nazi Documents
A Hungarian couple was amazed after finding confidential Nazi documents in their walls. They found more than 6,000 of these Third Reich documents that detailed the holocaust, came with a Jewish census, and designated homes where they could be transferred before getting moved into Budapest ghettos. Scholars valued this rare find. The Nazis destroyed most of these documents, but the person in charge of these hid them instead. The census was taken 2 months before the Nazi occupation of Hungary. The official numbers of Hungarian Jews killed in the holocaust come up to 600,000.
