Dante Alighieri
The author of the Divine Comedy, Dante Alighieri was an influential Italian medieval poet. He wrote about Hell and Heaven, and some of the descriptions are now recognized by Christian establishments. Apart from that, he was a philosopher whose writings remain relevant. In 1321, he died at 56 years old.
