Patcham Woman

This woman’s burial site is thought to be a 1,700-year-old crime scene. She was a resident of Roman Britain. Upon her discovery it was seen she was buried in a pit and a nail was found deeply pitted in the back of her skull. Additional nails were found by her feet with a male companion lying feet-to-feet with her. Upon analysis, it was evident she suffered from stress, disease, and a tough physical life.
