Nancy Pelosi is one of the most prominent U.S. political leaders. Here it is seen shortly after becoming the new Democratic Whip in 2001. Since then, Pelosi has been Speaker of the House of Representatives twice, first from 2007-2011 and then again from January 2019 to the present. Jimmy Carter won the U.S. presidential elections in 1976. He’s shown below while campaigning for that election. He was in office for a period of time, until 1981. President Carter seemed a little more weather-worn but happy in the 1982 post-presidential picture. He has had an extremely active post-presidential life and is now the longest-lived president of the United States.
