Tiger Woods
We can’t think of a sport where vision would be more important than golf other than, perhaps, baseball. Tiger Woods is one of the greatest golfers to ever hold a club and for a long time he had to do it with blurred vision. Back in 1999 Tiger underwent the life changing correction and his career exploded afterwards. Tiger told the world that he now knows what it is like to “see 20/20” and “Trust me, life is much better when you see it clearly.” Since his ’96 debut in the world of pro golf Tiger has gone on to snag 79 PGA Tour Wins (2nd all time) and 40 European Tour Wins (3rd all time) to go along with 14 Majors. Yeah, we’d say that the surgery was a success. On the other hand, you would think that Tiger’s newfound vision would help him to see trouble when it comes banging down his door. Alas, Woods is recovering from the scandal that rocked his career back in 2010. He’s a constant television draw and the face of the sport, despite his personal demons.
Jessica Simpson
Jessica Simpson not only looks great, but she does great work as well. The blond bombshell is an actress, a fashion designer, and a singer with dance moves for days. While Jessica rose to fame through her singing, it wasn’t until 2002’s MTV reality show “Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica” that she truly started to get a ton of attention. In fact, it was on this show that Jessica underwent her laser surgery to correct her eyesight. The show followed Jessica around with her then-husband, Nick Lachey as they navigated the rocky shores of a fresh marriage. The two have since split and now Simpson is a force in the country music world. She’s transformed her image a fair bit and now can be seen staunchly supporting her new husband while raising her growing family. Simpson seems to have survived post-reality television well enough and her vision’s improvement seems to be one of the best things she got out of the deal.
